CRAY is a self-taught multidisciplinary creative born and raised in Toronto. Always hands on from a very young age, she believes she can do anything creative she puts her mind to. Skilled across visual art, photography, graphic design, art direction, modelling, and candle making; she has showcased work at RAW Artists Toronto, Artscape Weston Commons, The Drake Hotel, Stackt Market, Gallery 44 and Jane Finch Mall. Her commissions include projects for the Toronto Region ODSP Anti-Black Racism Working Group. CRAY’s work often merges different art forms into one, she likes to call herself the “Jill of all or many Trades.”
CRAY is currently a part of The Remix Project Round 20.0 for photography.
My work often explores my neuroses and psychological well-being in creative art forms. Known as CRAY, through my photography, creative direction, modelling and multimedia visual art; I emulate my experience and understanding in order to express my emotions. As an artist, I strive to create meaningful connections between my audience and my art. By noticing the minutiae of my surroundings and my own personal life, I turn my collected stories, memories, and observations into pieces with the intent to heal and inspire. I am committed to creating art that reflects on the nuances of life, and ultimately serves as a vessel for people to better understand their own psyche and emotional state.
