Destinee Cray is a multifaceted artist based in Toronto, Ontario, whose works explore her neuroses and psychological well-being in creative art forms. Known as CRAY, through her photography, creative direction, and multimedia visual art, she emulates her experience and understanding in order to express her emotions. As an artist, CRAY strives to create meaningful connections between her audience and her art. By noticing the minutiae of her surroundings and her own personal life, she turns her collected stories, memories, and observations into pieces with the intent to heal and inspire. CRAY is committed to creating art that reflects on the nuances of life, and ultimately serves as a vessel for people to better understand their own psyche and emotional state.
CRAY attended Rosedale Heights School of the Arts but is a self taught artist. Always hands on from a very young age, she believes she can do anything creative she puts her mind to. Focused on many mediums of visual art and photography, she also has a passion for graphic design, creative/art direction, modelling, and candle making, to name a few. She has had her work displayed in the likes of The Drake Hotel, RAW Artists Toronto Showcase, Artscape Gallery Weston Commons, and Stackt Market. She has also received commissions from organizations such as the Toronto Region Ontario Disability Support Program Anti-black Racism Working Group.
